Hi everyone!
Yep! we are back once again! hope everybody is doing great after the turkey feast. Well, I just want to share with you something that you probably will see soon. And that is.... our Christmas card YAY! with... our family pic which has a deep story. Let me tell you that as you read in the Post's title... our sitting was a total disaster. Apparently the TERRIBLE TWO are kicking pretty bad in our household. Yep Ash couldn't stay still ANY minute. And even though I don't have girls I know the big difference that that makes in a photo shoot. Girls love to pose. On the other hand..... boys don't like or let me rephrase it they don't have time to pose. They like to play with the props (or maybe just my kids?)
So we started with Ash as he just turned TWO. So we wanted to have his 2 yrs. old pics. And we wanted to have a specific pic with the same outfit that Elan had at the same age. Anyway....The lady (who was taking our pics) gave a couple props to Ash. And Ash will not STOP playing with them. "Playing" as running around as he was at the park. The props happened to be sport items yep BALLS. So Ash kept throwing the football to the lady and to her camera. Soccer ball! he was scoring all over the studio so....by the time for family pic HE WAS DONE! So we did not have ANY options for our Christmas card as it was ONLY ONE decent picture of the 4 of us. (on the good side I did not have the project to choose the BEST one). So I was very uncomfortable as I was "trying" to hold Ash still and he bite me. Elan was so patient but he was tired. Anyway.... this is the deep story but glad that at least we had just one pic. for our memories!

Elan's great coloring gift!

Well, I really can't hold myself anymore of showing you off my son's talent/gift. Elan showed great interest in drawing/coloring at a very young age. All his drawings are about his favorite characters, of course! When he was 3 yrs. old he loved to colored the wiggles, and then superman as well as spider man, batman, Ben 10 and so on and on. Well for the last 2 yrs. he has been coloring/drawing TRANSFORMERS. I have to admit that he is pretty good so here is my showing off post.

I'm pretty amazed at his art work! Me, being an architect's daughter I have always been around the artistic environment. My dad taught me some drawing techniques as well as I took oil painting classes so saying all that I know what he does is not easy.

And as the cutest boy Elan is I asked him this time

Me; How come you draw very good? Elan said; Is my heavenly Father's gift! what an awesome kid huh?s

By the way FYI We finally watched the new transformers movie which was great! Elan was waiting for this movie for the last 2 years, And I have to admit that ME too. I'm totally a transformers fan. I think the little decepticon transformers in both movies are so cute!

Elan's GAME BALLS collection!

Hi again! I'm so sorry that not only I haven't blogged for 3 months but also my last post was so sad. (I can't believe that I left it for so long).

Well...thanks to Elan we're back! I definitely HAVE to post about what happened today as I am a VERY PROUD MOM.

So...let me updated you first. At the beginning of this year Elan started to play BASEBALL. Yep NO t-ball, baseball. That means (for those like me that just knew about ballet shoes) they use a machine instead of the T. Anyway...Elan is one of the youngest of the team (some of the kids are either in 2 or 3rd grade) Just for the record: Elan is in 1st grade. He was very intimidated and scared of the ball/machine. Also, this division/league (Summerlin south little league) is very competitive. Coach is very serious and tough. And it is amazing that all the kids are taking notes who hits the ball and who don't (well it's pretty obvious though as the ones that don't hit, don't get the chance to run).

So...at the beginning of the season it was hard for Elan. He would get a little sad or mad. But with a LOT of practice, support o f his fans (Ash and Mom) and a big help from Dad (who took him to the cages/park every week). Elan got better and better...

So I'm a very proud to let you know that today he got his 3rd. GAME BALL (every game coach gives 2 game balls to the best players). Elan had a lot of fun!

We are very happy for the great effort that Elan has done this season. He worked hard! And I think it was a great opportunity to reinforce many lessons; he plays to have fun and to be the best, practice is the key, nothing is free, he is good 'cause of his efforts, there are good days and bad days, etc.

I don't have any idea if I have mentioned this before. (if I had Oh well if I hadn't here it is!).

NEAT& FUNNY FACT: Most of you know that I love to cheer. But specially to Elan in whatever sport he does; soccer, wrestling, basketball, swimming or baseball. And it might be the latin genes but I LOVE to cheer that means I can be loud B R A V O! Oops!

So one day, I was brave! Brave as I knew that it will be the end of my cheering career. I decided to ask Elan if he liked Mommy to stop cheering at his games/practices. You know, I didn't want to keep embarrassed him. And guess what did he said? Mom I LIKE IT!

I don't know what was the biggest surprise; the fact that he said he likes it or the fact that I had NO clue that he liked it. (Knowing his personality I thought maybe it was a little embarrassing for him). Surprise! it wasn't and he loves it. Yeah! Go Elan! Be a hitter!

Just for the record this was the last game of the season but Elan's team made it to the playoffs so more cheering for me!

A very long and stressful week
Ash was hospitalized for the whole week as he couldn't breath. He got RSV but as he presented asthma he needed oxygen and breathing treatments. It was so hard to see little Ash going through all that. And very tough knowing big Elan needed helps as well for daily routine. We were blessed that Grandma Pat came to help us out.

Elan's Update
Well as I haven't posted any other pics. (not even our Xmas Mexico Trip but eventually I will post those pics) But here are some. Elan's b-day pics. Elan turned 7 on Feb. 3rd. 2009. This year was very different. Three weeks prior to his b-day I asked him where did he want his party to be ( as mini gran prix, pump it up, park, house etc.) He answered "Mom I have had some many party with my friends this time I want to have my b-day just with my family". Lucky me! NO B-day project for Mommy this year (at least for one of the boys!)

So lucky boy the very same night of his b-day the Rebels had a game vs San Diego State. What better present for Elan! (Elan loves to go to Las Vegas Rebels basketball games. Elan and Dan even wear the Rebels t-shirt Oh Wow!). We had a lot of fun!

BIG NEWS!
Last Wednesday was Ash's b-day. He turned 1 year Yeah! wow time, time, time! We had his b-day party on Thursday on request of BIG brother Elan. We got sick 2 weeks ago so I didn't feel like doing any "projects" but Elan has such a big heart that was planning Ash' party. And I'm so glad that Elan was so persistent in doing Ash' party as it was a great idea! It was a small party with his mini friends but we can totally tell he had a lot of fun. He ate too much cake and he didn't stop going up and down (so sorry for the blurry pics but b-day boy didn't have time for too many shots!) we are so grateful to have Ash in our family. He is such a cute baby. He is ALWAYS happy, always smiling and he laughs for everything. We just love him so much. And of course we are so happy to have big brother as well. Elan was such a great helper at Ash's party. What an amazing blessing these two angels are in our life! Enjoy the thousands of pics that I post as usual!

Halloween 2008

This year was a lot better than last year (I was very pregnant on Halloween day'07). Elan finally got his BUMBLEBEE (transformers) outfit Yeah! Ash was a monkey and he still is! (I posted a video so you can see him in "action"). He also was a little leopard (Elan's 1st. Halloween costume) .

We had a couple of Halloween activities. We went to the Summerlin Pumpkin Patch with Elan's soccer buddies. Of course we went to the trunk or treat at church. And this year Elan's school also had trunk or treat. We had kinda Trick or treating marathon. First we went with the Sparks to trick or treating in our neighborhood. Then we went with Elan's soccer buddy, Gabriel to keep up with our trick or treating marathon at his neighborhood. All of us had a lot of fun!
As always I posted a HUGE slide. I know I always post tons of pics (grandparents' request) anyway... Enjoy!

Pumpkin Debate/ Sleepover

Fruit or Veggie?
Last Friday Elan had his 1st SLEEPOVER ( Although I don't know if that counts as he was the one that invited his friend over). Anyway, Elan invited his best friend Calvin. They have been in the same class since last year. They are very close and have a lot in common. It is amazing what 6 YEARS OLD boys do. They are always planning their playdates with an specific agenda. So this time was "camping at our playroom".
I always try to have an activity planned for them just in case! Eventhough they "have everything planned" there is always a time that they get "bored". So, I found this cute crafty project FOAM PUMPKINS. They have a lot of fun! The pumpkins turned out very cute! But.. it was cuter the debate that they had.
Their debate was if the pumpkin is a vegetable or a fruit. And the cute part was both of them had their own arguments. Elan's argument was; vegetables do not have seeds so it is a fruit!
One thing that they agreed was to look it up on the internet, so we did!

DO YOU KNOW?

Do you guys recognize this pic? I posted it last year. (When I told you about my Spanish teaching method that I used with Elan). Anyway... I can't believe it has been a little over a year that Elan got into ENRIQUE IGLESIAS music. And when I say he got into it I mean it! He really thought he was Enrique Iglesias. He performed all the new album to anyone that visited us last year. I know he is my son and that is why I say HE WAS SO CUTE (but I just have to say it!) He even made his own microphone stand with his baseball T.

So... last month (September 13th, 2008) I took Elan to Enrique Iglesias concert and that was such a great experience! This was my third time going to Enrique Iglesias concert although this time was unique! The other 2 times I went with my girlfriends when I was at BYU. It is interesting that who will imagine that one day I was going to take my son to one of my favorite concerts. Thanks Arturo for letting me know about the concert.

Back to School

Hello, hello!
We are back! Apparently I took Blogging vacations and NOW I have to make a huge update post. I can't believed that my last post was back in June now Ashton is taking his first steps, and Elan is back to school as a 1st. grader WOW! crazy huh? I missed reading your blogs and your comments. Well...to update you; I made 2 picture slides as a lot went on in the mean time; Elan's kindergarten graduation, 4th of July, Summer activities (swimming lessons, playdates with friends etc), Camping (yep you read CAMPING wow!), Shooting and Kidd Family Reunion @ Bear Lake.
And now currently, Elan is in a soccer team and just recently he went to a COOL concert. Ashton is a very active baby between crawling and walking he keeps me very very busy. Anyway I'll post that later on...

Hello, hello! Did you guys miss us? That was we thought! Well, May was a pretty busy month, a lot of achievements and milestones at home Yeah!

ELAN'S ACHIEVEMENTS
Elan did t-ball again! Season ended last week of may. Elan had a lot of fun again during this season. Definitely he's getting the hang of it. He's getting better. This time he did the little league so it was another team "THE HORNED FROGS". The Little League was a little more official and serious! And as you noticed he was NUMBER ONE! (answer to the Poll).

Also, Elan just finished school this past Wednesday. He had his kindergarten graduation as well (I'll post those pics later on). For right now here are the t-ball pics, enjoy!
FANS (we loved when relatives came to visit. Elan had the chance to have more fans. But definitely he had his loyal fan #1, Ashton with all his baseball little outfits!)

I was tagged before but this tag is a little bit different so I decided to do it. (also as a memory exercise as 10 years feels like a lot to remember).

10 years ago I was....an international student at BYU. On winter 1998 I was living at the avenues #310. I went to Europe for spring & summer. I lived with the Baoo Family in Braine L’Allude, Belgium for 3 months. I went backpacking in Europe for a month with a Brazilian friend. When I came back from Europe I lived at the blue house and then moved back to the avenues #321. On fall 1998 I turned in my papers to go on a mission.

5 things on my to do list today...

- work out early in the morning

- same daily routine (take Elan to school and later on pick him up, do homework on the afternoon)

- running errands; bank & dry cleaning

- clean the house (laundry)

- go to Danny’s softball game

4 things I would do if I were a billionaire...

- Put money aside for my boys’ education (college)

- Have my dream house custom built.

- Travel often (go back to Europe).

- Buy a house in Cuernavaca or Acapulco, Mexico for vacations.

3 bad habits...

- I dvr (tivo) TOOOOOOO many shows ( I get the dvr space full each week!)

- Sometimes I start a project in room #1 if I get interrupted which it happens all the time (change of diaper, feeding, fussy time, cell, lunch, snacks, etc.) on my way back to room #1 if I suddenly stop by room #2 I start doing another “project” and so on with room #3 & #4.

- I get distracted easily especially when I am reading (I don’t have ADD it is just the way I am!)

5 things most people doesn’t know about me...

- I took organ lesson Yep! Organ NO piano (as we had an organ at home as well as at both grams).

- I did not have a normal childhood (DO NOT WORRY nothing bad) I am talking about I did not get to have as much play dates as I wished ‘cause I had TOO many lessons (French, English, ballet, Jazz, Painting, organ, swimming) in the afternoon that kept me very busy and few “friends” time.

- When I was 13 years old I liked “cool music” (hard rock/heavy metal music) Poison, Motley crue, Metallica, Skid Row, etc. I thought Sebastian Back was so cute. I’m so glad that was just for a year and then I opened my eyes and went back to my pop music ( otherwise you’ll be listening Skid Row instead of Sara Bareilles).

- I was a kids TV show hostess in Mexico (canal 13 “zafin zafado”) Kathy that’s why we are so close we even had in common the same kind of experiences huh?

- Two months ago I went on the insanity ride over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet. How cool is that huh? (or how crazy was that!). http://www.stratospherehotel.com/thrills/insanity_the_ride.cfm

Hi There! Gorgeous legs huh? This what we call the POMPIPIERNA Development. First pic, cute chicken newborn legs. Second pic, welcome pompipierna. You have to know that at our household that's what we call it. Yep!, pompi (bonbon/butt) PLUS piernas (legs). Additional info = Danny made it up, and it has been in our Kiddsdictionary since 2002. I wonder why?. Anyway...Who doesn't like baby's chubby legs? or baby's chubby toes huh?
Our good big smile boy is now 4 months. He is such a good baby. He is always in a good mood. When he wakes up first thing he does; he gives you a big smile! I guess he got it from me. According to Dan & Elan apparently I sometimes have a different mood. Hey guys someone has to disciple in this household huh?
We want to share "some" of Ashton's pics. And when I say SOME I mean it as We (mostly ME) take at least 20 pics a day (regular day). And as a regular day I mean we do not do any particular event. And when that happens of course we take from 20-up. (And I pretty sure some of you do the same especially those with babies).
Anyway, you will see Ashton is an Elany mini me (as my father-in-law said and he's right!). So take a look!

Well, I HAVE to post this video as well as these cOOl pics. I know, I'm way behind in my updates. Actually, wrestling is already over last practice was last week. And Elan will start again T-ball in a week.
Anyway...and of course I have to post the story (that I promised to Billie Jean).... When Ashton was born back on November, Dan's friend, Justin, who is a wrestling coach invited Danny to take Elan to wrestling. Amazingly and surprising Elany liked it a LOT! WOW Who will know about this! He was really excited and he loves his coach! Thanks for everything Justin! (you're now in his heroes list).
Anyway, it was pretty convenient for me as Danny was taking Elany to the wrestling practices (which were 3 TIMES a WEEK) Yeap! you read right 3 times WOW!!! but their (Elan/Dan's) excitement keep them very loyal the whole winter. For me, I haven't thought about wrestling at all for Elan. I mean, before this exciting experience if I have to pick a sport, wrestling will be the last. I don't know maybe those outfits! Just kidding!
Lesson: NEVER say NO 'cause you never KNOW!
The whole wrestling experience turned really positive for Elan. Elan is such a sweet, sensible and sensitive boy. But I say he is TOO NICE with everyone which is good but you have to be prepare for those bullies at school huh? SO here is Elan IN ACTION! Way to go Elan!

Hi again!

It has been the longest 2 weeks ever! First our fridge broke and the food issue was soooooo annoying! the coolers, taking it to my friend's house and waiting for the new fridge to be delivered felt like years. Second week, Elan was very very sick with bronchitis. He worried me so much, he even told me he wanted to take a nap, which is so weird! I don't even remember the last time he took a nap. He felt really bad, my big boy! He had a very high fever which always keeps me with one eye open the whole night. He missed a whole week of school. But at least one of my biggest project was accomplished Yeah! and some stuff from my TO DO list. Thanks Sarah for the Haircut party (I had to post this pic before you go on your trip take care, hope you have fun!).
As we're in MARCH, my favorite month! (I was born in March yeap!). I had to look for a special layout for my month; my 15th b-day, the international women's month, spring and of course for Easter! and I found the perfect one hope you like it. It looks so sweet!

Happy B-day Elan!

SUPER BOWL BABY BOY!

Well 6 years ago after 36 hrs. of labor a cute baby boy, Elan, was born. He decided to came out on a super bowl sunday just like this past super bowl. Amazing, he's now 6 years old!!! We can tell that he's such a big boy every day.
SIX YEARS OLD He's learing how to read, to add and substract wow!, to count up to 200. (As he passed the 100 counting goal ) FUNNY FACT - he'll ask you, do you know that I can count up to 100? and he starts counting right away! That's pretty good if he just says it one time. As to hear the 100 counting every 3 mins that's so much "fun" you don't have any idea! Another "Big Boy" thing that I have to tell you: he gives to his friends his phone number, he even writes it down in a little piece of paper that hillarious! (I'm glad that for some reason he gives Danny's cell phone and not mine!) he also says email me! and he thinks he NEEDS a cell phone, and that's SIX!

About the celebration.... this time he had an agenda for his b-day. He requested 2 fake b-days; friday @his kindergarten with transformer cupcakes and saturday @ Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (like the last year) with a bumblebee cake. Detailed agenda huh?

And on his real b-day (sunday) he said So...are you guys going to sing me happy b-day again?

Elan had a lot of fun! specially on saturday racing with his friends! Also, saturday night we went to the UNLV Rebels game. Since Ashton was born Dan and Elan have gone twice as a"father son" night. They are becoming true Rebels fans. That was s fun family night to celebrate Elan.

Can't live without'em

Hello again! sorry I haven't keep you posted lately. It feels I was gone forever. Holiday season, newborn at home, plus "new projects" had kept me very very busy. I just want to give you an update otherwise I won't do it and next xmas will come! (just kidding).
Holiday season was totally busy and crazy. PLEASE do NOT move after xmas before new year's eve or you'll end with NO voice and exausted like me. Although I was SO Blessed and lucky that my family came to help me/us out. I loved them! Even grandma came.
THANK YOU so MUCH! they did so much, they packed and moved everything & clean. One of my sisters (guess who?) was in charge of the organization and the other was in charge of the deco (guess who?). You don't have any idea how nice and amazing it feels to see your new walking closet ALL set up and very neat by your family. Of course my Mom helped us tremendously as well as my brother-in-law, uncle and grandma. LOVE YOU ALL!

Well, .....Also I'll play along in this post. Jess posted this "5 things I can't live without'em" list. And when I read the post I meant to reply as Jess "tagged" me. Once again I'm little bit late, but I have to do it as it's very interesting list. Hello Everyone! We're back, Yeah! Did you miss us? It wasn't for long but....for me it felt like it has been months due to the long days and my lack of sleep. Anyway...Baby Ashton is doing great! He's such a little angel, a good baby. He actually sleeps. Elan just gave us a different concept of a what newborns are like because it seemed like he was always awake.

As for the rest of us, Danny, Elan & I, we are doing good. This month has been a change, but I think we are adjusting very well.

14 much better than 35

Well, for those who are wondering, let me tell you about the D-day. I'm happy to tell you that this delivery was only 14 hrs. long. Not too bad huh? Much better than Elan's 35 hour delivery. Overall, the D-day was fine. There were no complications and Ashton was very cooperative.

Also....Crystal, I'm so so glad for your referral, Dr. Swainston is a great doctor! (and pretty popular here in Las Vegas or at least here in the Summerlin are). Thanks Crystal! A good doctor makes a great difference.

Octopus Life Style
I always thought that having a baby was very hard for the "greenies", aka the first timers. Everything is new, you don't have any clue of how it is going to be and the change of a life style is dramatic. But of course, I was naive. The fact that you are only dealing with one little person makes it so much easier. With two, it seems like you have to be an octopus. (EG Baby crying and at the same time someone asking you to put together a transformer (level 4, let me tell you those are hard)). When I think of the greenie mom with only one child, it sounds like a piece of cake!
I have to say to all the mothers I know, I really admire all of you. You all have amazing motherhood talents and skills. I have thought of you gals often lately. (EG. How did Patty manage to go full-time to school, work part-time, and be a mother of three? How does Jessica Sanberg manage a great career and take care of her wonderful kids? How does Sarah handle pregnancy plus super energetic kids like George? same thing as for Crystal, Laura, Heather, Hazel, Kathy, Gaby, Vane V, Alese . . . . . well all of you super Moms. So... lately one of my favoirte tv shows is Jon & Kate Plus 8. Whenever you feel overwhelemed, watch that show you'll feel better!
Grateful for Love
Ashton is almost a month old now, and he's still getting gifts/presents, lucky him huh? Thank you, thank you, for all of your love and support. Thanks for caring! as Elan says "Sharing is caring!" Thanks for your phone calls, messages, dinners, visits, presents. Thank you for everything, we definitely appreciate it. We're not only grateful for our little angel, Ashton, but also for having all of you guys in our lives.

Elan a very busy boy

This month went so fast! As I was looking at my calendar it went way fast as we were so busy. Well, actually it was 'cause Elan's activities that made us busy busy. Here is a quick look of Elan's October agenda.

*Zachary's B-day Party - a friend from school (kindergarten)

*Topsy Turvy Circus @ Church - his good friend George and cute little sister, Ann, joined Elan to this fun activity.

*Sibling Class @ Hospital - NO, NO I didn't go to labor yet! This was a workshop for Elan, for his new role as a big brother. This workshop was only for 1st. time brother/sister of Elan's age. At this age they can understand a little bit more about newborns. They learned how they can be helpers. It was a great workshop!

*Radio Station Concert - Rock climbing time for Elan

*JJ's B-day Party - a friend from church. Clown show, fun party!

*Sugar Skulls workshop @ Library - great activity as I want Elan to learn about Mexican traditions. They talked about Dia de los Muertos.

*Student of the month Assembly - Best activity of the month for Elan. He was so excited that day!

*Michael's B-day Party - a friend from school & church. Water Balloons, super fun!

*Trunk or Treat - Traditional trick or treat @ church. As you can see, Superman returns!

*T-ball practices w/ Dad - Danny is an incredible help for Elan's t-ball improvement.

Student of the Month Assembly

Well, I can't believe that today was the big day, the assembly for the students of the month and guess what? I forgot my digital camera, Oh no!!!!!!!I know, I know that was something very dumb. That's what I got for changing purses all the time. I had the video camera so here is a video. And some pics that I pulled out of the video camera (they're not very good but at least you can see or image how it went).
Actually, It went great, very short ceremony but very emotive. And my question was answered as I thought that maybe 2 or 3 student are selected from each class. Actually the just select ONE student from each class. So I was very very proud of Elan that from 28 kids on his class he got to be the student of the month of his kindergarten class. We love him so much. Go Elan, way to go!

Baby Shower
Thank you so much Sarah and Hazel for throwing me a really nice Baby shower. It was so fun. I had a great time. It definitely lifted me up after having the cold for a week and being pregnant hasn't being a good combination. I have to say that everything was perfect. I loved Hazel DIAPER CAKE, such an artistic creation. Hazel is always giving her art knowledge/gift side to everything that she does. Sarah, I loved the messages in the onesies that was an awesome idea! Thanks everyone that came. So here are the pics, specially the diaper cake!

Halloween is coming...living with a 5 yrs old boy it feels is coming so soon as he asks everyday "Is Halloween tomorrow?" (even though he has it marked down in his own calendar). So, as previous experiences, we got his costume at the end of august. No procrastination! No worries! He knew exactly what he wanted. So he's totally ready. You'll be surprised what he picked this year!
Also, last month Elan asked me about his past costumes and wanted to see some pics. So I put these pics together for him. Take a look of his Halloween's costumes. Some of you were there with him (us) in those years! Hope you enjoy these cute pics and remember those Halloween experiences.

Basketball & Baseball

Mini Hoops and T-ball League
Hello everyone! Well, here are some pics of Elan's athletic life! Well, of course the 1st. pic is not a recent pic. Elan was 10 months, the sport introduction ball set was one of his 1st. presents from Santa Claus in Mexico. I found this pic and I thought it was cute to see him on 2002 and on the most recent pics of 2007.

Elan likes both "BIG BOYS" (basketball and baseball) activities so much. He was very excited on his 1st. day/game but no as much as we, proud parents, were as he looked so cute running around doing his best. And of course, Danny is so proud to see his great outcome from practicing baseball with Elan for the last years. And finally, now Elan uses his 1st. "real" baseball bat that he got last year. He's so happy for that.
On the 1st. day of t-ball league they had the practice and "the game". It was so fun to watch! Some of the kids didn't have any idea of what to do. It looked as they were playing "fetch" as some of the kids hit the ball and ran after it, it was so funny! They looked so cute! Elan had a lot of fun so as we. And he really makes a lot of effort.
Also, as Elan admires Michael Jordan and Lebron James, influenced by me, just kidding! (boy sports, one more thing that I'm clueless!) I mean, being influenced by Danny of course. Elan loves the mini hoops program! he says "Mom. I'm playing just like Michael Jordan!".
I'm so happy that through Elan I get to have these kind of activities/experiences! They're so much fun and totally new for me, as many of you know I don't have brothers just 2 sisters (kind of tomboys, specially my older sis but that doesn't count to play football!) Anyway....so growing up I didn't have the chance to go to practices and games just to tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnssssss of dance presentations! girly stuff.

Note: if you wonder how's that? that was me, 3 1/2 yrs. old at one of my ballet presentation.

But no worries now as it seems I'll have plenty of boy activities/experiences specially when the future family addition, is another boy, who is coming soon!

So let's add to my clueless/illiterate list: cybernetics + camping + boy sports. Clueless/illiterate list = as I feel like an illiterate person in those subjects. Ex. I keep asking Dan when is the super bowl, who's playing and I even get confused with all the teams. It seems to me that some teams already played but Dan says that was another team. I told Danny my great idea that for our future camping experience we could bring a u-haul with all the stuff that we'll need! and of course I was talking about the smallest u-haul (attached trailers) but for some reason he didn't think it was a great idea! anyway......I'll get an expert in these subjects pretty soon, life changes!

Finally, the prego pics as Crystal requested. Well,....quite a change huh? I think I posted them more for me as I totally have gained more weight in this last month (September). Lately I'm craving raisin bran cereal, which is healthy as long as you eat ONE bowl not 3 like me Ooops! So I didn't realize about it until now that I was selecting the pics for this post. Oh My! And I still have a couple of weeks to go! It looks like I'm getting fater in this pregnancy. Positive side, Lucky me I started the pregnancy with 100 lbs! But still...

So.... I thought, if I look at these unbelievable metamorphic pics I'll remind myself how many hours of workout those cereal bowls will take me later to get rid of them in a couple of months. I'm glad the gym is open 24 hrs. huh?

Labor Day

On Labor Day we went to Valley of Fire,Nevada State Park. Well, definitely it felt like fire as it was incredible HOT!!! Thanks to BEAR GRYLLS (the guy of "Mans vs. Wild" on discovery channel) Elan is always suggesting outdoor activities. We loved that show and we're waitting for the next season. Actually, the more we go to outdoors activities the more I like them! Being a city girl (Mexico City), I didn't like to go camping. I wasn't a girl scout like my sisters. But now, I think I'll be up to a camping day. Anyone?
Although it was super super hot we had a good time.It was a NATURE appreciation day!Hope you enjoy our very orange pics.

Elan' 1st. Day at KINDERGARTEN!

Yesterday was Elan's 1st day at his new school as a kindergarten boy. So, I took the video camera, the digital camera plus the tape recorder (just kidding about the tape recorder!) And Danny and Elan said why all the stuff, it's is just kindergarten! Well, it's a big deal, a BIG step in life so if I could or it'll be handy I'll take even a tape recorder. Why not to take all my "chalala memories" equipment!

Like always, his expression on his face doesn't tell us much. He always makes a neutral face, no sad, no mad but no happy (totally Danny!). But I know he was happy as Daddy took the time to be there for him. And when I picked him up he totally had a very happy face! I guess, I was the nervous one. Even though he had gone to preschool programs before, since he was 2 1/2 yrs. old, this is the "real thing" real big school with big kids so it's different. So, I admit it, I was totally nervous the night before! But Elan is such a very smart and sweet boy that he'll do great! I'm just such a protective Mom!

Last Friday night, we went to bed a little bit late as we were talking and laughing. And our BIG BOY Elan,"Enrique" told us Go to sleep, stop laughing or I won't make you lunch tomorrow! We thought he was just kidding but we were wrong! Next morning, he woke up and made us "lunch" a delicious peanut butter sandwich! Take a look at some of his preparation steps. We were so lucky to have some of our family in town for a weekend a couple days ago. Thanks guys for the visit!
Elan was so excited and happy to see all of them. But he was "extra" excited to see his cute little cousins which he calls "sisters" (I mean, he knows perfectly that they are his cousins but I guess he's on the mood of brotherhood, I wonder why!)

Do you know ...................... Elan Enrique Iglesias Kidd?

Hi again! Hope all of you're doing good. Well, I had to post these great pics and tell you about it. Some of you already know as I keep talking about this. Well like 3 months ago , our BIG BOY, 5 yr. old Elan, told us that he didn't want to speak Spanish anymore. So, after thinking about how can I make him more interested about the language, I thought that my "old goodies", will be handy, my high school and college music. After all, his Latin spirit will raise huh? (as he already has shown us great moves with the "wiggles").

Anyway, so for the last 2 months or so, we'll hear my "old goodies" on our way to his preschool, the store etc.

Well,.... finally after showing him my whole collection: Kabah, moenia, laura pausini, paulina rubio, even "timbiriche" etc., etc. He liked a lot ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, yeah! So, Enrique Iglesias is my Spanish learning technique, which is very effective. So take notes all of you that eventually will be in the same boat!

So, Elan asked me (2 months ago) Who knows enrique iglesias? And I thought well, no one knows him now, but 4 yrs. ago he was pretty famous. And as we were very into it we found out he will come out with another album in July. We bought it the 2nd. week of June. (like totally good fans huh?) By the time that the new album was released, Elan knew already all the songs. Lately, Elan has seen some of enrique iglesias' interviews. So he knows enrique is pretty popular!

But...Now, I have kind of a problem as he thinks he is enrique iglesias! Oh well!!!

So, Lisa (Watson)be prepare to go again to enrique iglesias concert and this time with a new member of our E.I. fans club!

Hello Everyone!

Hope all of you are doing great! We decided to keep you posted of what is going on in our lives here, in this great method, blogging! Thanks Jessica for the great idea! Eventhough you gave me this great tip last year I never found the time to start it, as I was a workaholic! Finally, Consul Lemus Gas let me go, it was very hard for me to leave the Mexcian Consulate, offers to stay were very tempting as they didn't want me to go. But, in this stage of my life priorities have shifted once again! So, bye, bye to the Mexican visas, declaratorias de nacionalidad, permisos previos, etc., etc. So... now I went back to full-time Mom! means I will do my best to keep you updated more often. Although, is not that I will have extra time (as all of you know about that) but at least I won't be under deadlines, meetings, conferences, buisness trips, etc. So, we will see...I will do my best to keep in touch guys!
